Non-Sterile External Fixator - FEST II

The principle of the Non-Sterile External Fixator - FEST II is to provide biomechanical stability of bone fixation in osteosynthesis, with the purpose of lengthening, aligning, stabilizing and reducing fractures; it remains in place temporarily, that is, until bone healing occurs.

The structure that receives the fixator components consists of platforms connected by a body (rigid metal structure = rail) with intrinsic mobility.

The fixator components consist of nuts, screws, washers, hinges, compressors, distractors, among other elements, whose purpose is to maintain bone alignment during the healing process; they must not bear weight, except as indicated by the surgeon.

For the Non-Sterile External Fixator - FEST II to achieve its intended performance, it must be used with the ancillary components, namely bone Pins and Wires, which are considered implants (Risk Class III), are not part of this product, must be purchased separately and have their own ANVISA registration.

The Non-Sterile External Fixator - FEST II is indicated for bone lengthening or shortening, correction of deformities, fractures, and in cases of malunion or nonunion, with or without bone loss. It allows segmental correction (multiple levels).

The fixator elements must be used on structures of medium and long bones of the extremities of the human body.
