Easy Fix Tube-to-Tube External Fixator

The elements of the Easy Fix Tube-to-Tube External Fixator consist of a metal structure composed of platforms connected to fixation bars, whose purpose is to maintain bone alignment during fracture reduction and stabilization; they must not bear weight or external loads. It can be used on the pelvis and on medium and long bones of the extremities of the human body, also including, if necessary, the joint involved in the injury.
The Easy Fix Tube-to-Tube External Fixator was designed to assist the surgeon in positioning the pin or wire (ancillary components) even under unfavorable conditions due to the condition of the bone and the adjacent soft tissues; it assists in fracture stabilization so that the patient can be safely transferred and receive definitive fixation.
The bars manufactured from Carbon fiber-reinforced Epoxy Resin are radiolucent; that is, they are excellent in cases where the fracture must be evaluated without interference from metal components.
The components of the Easy Fix Tube-to-Tube External Fixator are manufactured from (AISI) 304 Stainless Steel in accordance with ABNT NBR 13911:2010 - Surgical instruments — Metallic material — Specifications for wrought stainless steels, from Carbon fiber-reinforced Epoxy Resin, for which there is no specific standard, and from Aluminum in accordance with ABNT NBR 8117:2011 - Aluminum and its alloys - extruded bars, wires, profiles and tubes – requirements.

The Easy Fix Tube-to-Tube External Fixator was designed for the temporary stabilization of various types of fractures, and should be used on the pelvis and on medium and long bone structures of the extremities of the human body and, when necessary, applied to the joint involved in the injury.

The fixator provides temporary stabilization for up to two weeks, which benefits the surgeon in terms of preoperative planning for definitive fixation.

For the Easy Fix Tube-to-Tube External Fixator to achieve its intended performance, it must be used with bone pins and/or wires (ancillary components), which are considered implants (risk class III), are not part of this product, must be purchased separately and have their own ANVISA registration.
